Dr. Ben McGrath, DPM, FACFAS, is a dual board-certified foot and ankle surgeon and the founder of Alto Foot & Ankle in Mission Viejo, California. He treats the full range of foot and ankle conditions, from advanced non-surgical care to surgical correction.
After earning his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from California School of Podiatric Medicine, he completed a three-year foot and ankle surgical residency at White Memorial Medical Center in Los Angeles, where he served as Chief Resident and trained alongside the USC Keck Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery service. His focus is on minimally invasive procedures including bunion and hammertoe correction. He specializes in sports medicine, regenerative medicine, and peripheral neuropathy care. Care is available in English and Spanish.
Beyond the clinic, Dr. McGrath is passionate about spending time with his wife and four kids along the California coastline. He has served on volunteer medical missions in Guatemala and founded CHIEF, the Community Foot Health Education Initiative. He believes independent private practice is worth fighting for, where patients can still know their doctor and care decisions stay between the two of them.
